We had planned to pick strawberries with another mother and her girls yesterday morning but the weather was not cooperating so we ended up meeting them at the mall to let the kids play. After playing in the soft play area we headed to Chick-Fil-A for lunch. It was nice visiting and eating a yummy lunch that I did not have to prepare. After lunch, the kids and I went to Old Navy to get sunglasses for each of them and we found a pair of tennis shoes for Piper for $8.99! She had left her shoes at the creek and they look beyond repair at this point, so another pair was much needed.
The afternoon consisted of a long nap for Abe and some schoolwork for Piper and Cohen. Starting our schoolwork so late in the day is not optimal, but we trudged through and completed what we needed to.
Also, we kept running out to the chicken coup to see if our baby chicks had hatched, but as of last night they were all still contained in the eggs. Hopefully this morning we will find some baby chicks in Amy's nest!
