Max Update

I just got word that Max was hit by a car last night. My In-Laws (who live on the same road as us) found him and took him to their house. I really wish they had called last night, but whatever. I feel so heartbroken, as much as he drove me crazy I loved him. I had to tell the kids which was even harder. Cohen didn't seem too upset (nor does he totally get it) but Piper was. I will really miss him.

Hiking

Yesterday Chad had a short work day so we took the kids hiking. The bitter cold is supposed to set in today so we wanted to get them out of the house while it was still nice. Abe rode along happily in the backpack and Piper and Cohen ran circles around us through the trail. They would climb up on everything and ask me to take their pictures; they seemed more into the picture taking than the exercise aspect!

On a totally different note, our dog Max just seemed to disappear last night?!? Piper went outside around 8:30pm and he was there, then I opened the door to let him in for the night right before 10pm and he was gone. I woke up many times through the night looking for him but as of right now he is still missing. Please say a prayer that he returns home safely and quickly. He is tagged with our address and telephone # so I pray that someone kept him overnight and will call us today to pick him up.

Abeytales

I love this smile:



Abe has recently got his 3rd and 4th teeth. On December 12, 2008 I noticed the top left (his left) tooth and on January 13, 2009 I got a glimpse of the 4th one (top right). Oh the fun of nursing a baby with a mouth full of teeth, ouch!

Family jammin'

I so hope my kids get Chad's musical talent, as mine is nonexistent! Chad and Cohen never miss an opportunity to sing and play. Now Abe likes to get in the mix too!

Everyone's favorite sack of potatoes

The kids favorite hobby right now is carrying Abe around from room to room. Piper will actually carry him around and play with him, she is an enormous help! Cohen's only intention is to prove that he *can* carry Abe around the house! He has yet to drop him but I fear that is a possibility. Abe just smiles and rolls with the punches, he is your typical third child, so easy-going and loving. He just enjoys their attention!

Here's to 2009!
